7UP / A&W / Canada Dry / Sunkist TEN Soda Review

From the makers of Dr. Pepper / Seven Up, a new, amazing soda has been introduced.  This new alternative to diet soda was included in my Resolutions Cravebox.  I then found these in Pathmark...$.50 for a 20 oz. bottle.  So, of course, I purchased all the varieties available on display.

If you've seen the commercials, they're new campaign is "It's Not for Women."  Diet soda is not just for women anymore!  The goal is to target men and women ages 25-49.

As the name states, an eight ounce serving has 10 calories; the bottles have 20 calories.  There is not any fat, and there is a low sodium and sugar content.

7UP -- This is very lemony in taste.  It's also sweet tasting, much different than the diet version.

A&W Root Beer -- I opened this bottle, and the smell of root beer and vanilla hit my nose!  I actually checked the bottle to make sure this was not regular soda.  Then, I tasted it, and I could not even believe that this was diet!!!!  AMAZING.  The boyfriend even liked it, even though he said there was a diet soda aftertaste.  I didn't notice it.

Canada Dry -- Ehh...it smells like regular ginger ale, but it doesn't taste like it.  It's also not quite as bubbly as regular soda.  I was a little disappointed in this, as I love ginger ale!!  I think I'd stick to Diet

Sunkist -- This has a very sweet, syrupy, and bold taste.  However, this has a very distinct aftertaste.  This does taste better than Diet Sunkist.

I was pretty impressed with the A&W; yum!!  The 7UP was pretty good.  I probably would not purchase the Canada Dry or Sunkist.

There are two more flavors, Dr. Pepper and RC Cola.  I have not found these in my local stores; have you?
